All India Central Government Pensioners' Association had been established during 1947. This association is the first and oldest association of pensioners from central government departments. This was originally formed by pensioners from P& T Department and initially membership was limited to pensioners from P&T Department only. During general body meeting in 1971 a resolution was passed to welcome pensioners from all other central Government services/departments/offices and central Government Public sector undertakings to join this association. Association received enthusiastic response. Now it represents most of the central government services/departments/offices and public sector undertakings. Some departments like Indian Railways have their independent association. However, we have meaningful dialogue with other associations.

Association had been registered under society act and registration No. is MAH 0938 (Public Trust Certificate No. F 753 Pune) Head Quarter of this association is located in Pune in its own building. Quarterly PP Bulletin is published in Jan, Apr, Jul and Oct every year. Copy is also available on this website.

So far the association has 84 branches all over India and over 60000 members. New branches are being opened in places where at least 15 members are registered initially. All pensioners are welcome to propose opening of new branches giving list of 15 prospective members. The statewise present branches and likely to be opened are as under:
